Today I am honored to welcome to the Thrive For[e]ward podcast our guest Katy Burke, Executive Director of TeamWomen. This organization is doing amazing things and allowing for so many women to succeed and grow! Join our conversation where you will learn the impact this origination in making in our communities as well as how you can get involved and make an impact for yourself and others.

Katy Burke is a serial entrepreneur with a 20 year proven track record of driving consistent revenue growth in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. A strategic visionary, she uses her outstanding ability and extensive network to grow relationships and broaden opportunities with new and existing partners, sponsors and funders. Active in community outreach, Burke builds relationships with philanthropic leaders, board members, and community partners to strengthen brand engagement, awareness and referrals.

TeamWomen, is a premier professional women’s organization committed to developing future generations of women in leadership. Their membership includes 600 women from the C-suite to young professionals who work in a variety of key industries including business, corporate, sports, and civic organizations. They make meaningful connections and rise together through 40 leadership development events, mentoring, and youth empowerment.

Personally, and professionally, their mission aligns with my own. I especially enjoyed hearing Katy share how to-date they have had over 370 pairings in their mentorship program. Katy said, “the results are amazing, we have seen women get promoted, re-enter and then leave the work force, change lanes in their career and more.”

The TeamWomen space, events and relationships has allowed vulnerability and sharing, and a place to learn from one another. The mentors have learned from their mentees, they have also grown and taken insight and education to make changes in their own lives.

Personally, I believe that to grow your network you should find something you are passionate about and then make connections with those that are equally as passionate. This organization allows for this for so many women of all ages, in all industries and from all communities.

I hope this segment will inspire you to make change for others and yourself. To move forward in education and knowing how incredible women are and how we can much incredible change together.
