What is Sustainable Investing and why should it matter to you?

๐Ÿ We have heard a lot of buzz (and rightfully so) around equity and sustainability, but what about when it comes to your money?

๐Ÿ’ฐSure where you spend it and supporting companies that have aligned values.

๐Ÿ“ˆ I mean what about your investments.

Another term for sustainable investing is ESG lets break that down:
โœ”๏ธ Environmental – ๐Ÿ’ญ climate change – pollution – energy efficiency
โœ”๏ธ Social Issues – ๐Ÿ’ญ data privacy – human rights – community relations
โœ”๏ธ Governance Issues – ๐Ÿ’ญ board composition – compensation – company structure

You can invest your wealth and be aligned with your values & investments.

ESG investing is subject to numerous risks; chief amongst these is that returns may be lower than when decisions are based solely on investment considerations. All company names noted herein are for educational purposes only and not an indication of trading intent or a solicitation of their products or services. Because of their narrow focus, sector investing will be subject to greater volatility than investing more broadly across many sectors and companies.

2016 survey by Natixis Global Asset Management of participants in 401K and other defined contribution plans found that 82%of respondents said they want investments in their retirement plan that reflect their personal values.

According to a survey by InHerSight, seven in ten women are looking to change careers. This is up 28 percent since we posed the same question just last year. So, why are they looking to change careers? We are seeing that a common theme is โ€œburnout.โ€
